Gina Unverferth is excited to be one of the newest members of CPD Plus, coming from a 9-year post with Rhythm in Shoes (RIS) as dancer and Assistant Artistic Director. While with RIS, Gina toured the U.S., U.K., and Ireland, and was honored to perform Morton Gould’s Tap Dance Concerto with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also an original member of the old-time/bluegrass group ShoeFly. Gina’s teaching experience includes serving as faculty at a myriad of dance festivals, studios, and universities as well as arts integration workshops at numerous schools through the Muse Machine organization. She has choreographed, premiered, and toured four new works since 2004. Gina received the 2006 Individual Artist Fellowship and the 2003 Furtherance Fund Grant, both from the Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District. She earned a B.A. in Dance from the University of Akron and an M.B.A. from the University of Findlay.
